… About Geagea’s statement that the LF and the FPM had struggled together, the minister said: “We weren’t struggling with Geagea. He was killing us and killing the FPM youth along with (Syria’s former intelligence chief in Lebanon) Ghazi Kanaan.”

That was a brief part of Gebran Bassil’s reply to Geagea’s appeal to FPM supporters.

I only took this part from Bassil’s statement because as everybody know, including a wide range of FPM supporters, Bassil has never been related to struggling, not once in his life he has struggled. In fact, he has no history in resistance, unlike other FPM current or former officials and supporters.

Bassil knows nothing about the 7 August, nor about resisting the Syrians and their sponsored security regime in Lebanon. He knows nothing about the secret jails at the Ministry of Defense, etc….

On the contrary, he knows everything about the Syrians checkpoints in North Lebanon and Al Masna3 border, since he enjoyed a great relation with them and was always welcomed on his way from or to his house in Batroun.

So of his statement from yesterday, we should believe only one part “We weren’t struggling with Geagea” and he’s right here, mainly because the statement followed his return from Damascus.

Do we need to explain more?

I thought the following issue deserves a post, at least a post, eventhough I’m sure it requires an Encyclopedia or even better some action.

It’s about the Loaf of Bread, one of the few necessary thing for every person in this world.

We come to a situation in Lebanon where we started to pray for this Loaf, to cry for it, to beg for it.

It is a sad situation when the list of priorities of us Lebanese people (known for our high level lifestyle and standard), includes begging for this Loaf of Bread and manifest its price.

I’m written this post because this morning and while at work, I received a phone call from my wife, she was furious (and believe me for good reasons), as she was watching TV and they put a full report telling the story of people manifesting the prices and weight of that Bread (to understand better the issue, I’ve enclosed this link from Annahar).

My wife, and I agree, couldn’t believe that we’re now begging our own necessary and supposedly cheapest food, she was amazed about the fact that a full report was aired on TV for that issue.

And to make things worse, the report was followed later by another report from Japan about new GPS devices to be distributed for blind people to help them find their way through, with linkposts put in different points to connect with them.

Is there a difference? where are we going in Lebanon? what will be our fate? how can we interact with the developped countries in the future if we keep on moving backwards, eventhough we have Big Brains as Lebanese abroad? and the big question, why are we accepting this, why not demonstrating and opposing, why can’t we demonstrate unless there is an invitation from a politician and usually for less important issues? We should hold our politicians and officials responsible, not clapping our hands fro them everytime they organize a gathering to say their usual Bla Bla Bla…

In this regard, I remembered the “Bread Crisis” which occured in Egypt last year, and which still occuring to some extent now, so and while fearing the worse, I ask God please don’t turn Lebanese to Egyptians, we just can’t stand that.

In my last post here, nearly two months ago, exactly 72 Days have passed without any sence of a probable answer to the question I’ve raised.

When will be our Resurrection? a question meant Lebanon Resurrection, the Lebanese people Resurrection, the Resurrection of all parties, politicians, Officials, Academics, etc… even the ordinary people, the youths, those who are following the so called leaders, and YET, I DIDN’T SEE ANY RESURRECTION in their behaviours, in their performance, in their relations, or in their FAITH.

On the contrary, the way I see it, things are getting worse for us Lebanese, whether living inside the country or abroad. I can honestly say that nothing good happened since the elections were held on 7 June 2009, more than a year ago, because we are still fighting and looking for the others’ mistakes, we are still waiting for a development and reform path to this country in terms of economy, society, politics, culture, education, finance, and others.

We are still living in an unstable country, under a very high cost of living against a minimum wage rate, we still have the highest prices of Real Estate, we’re still suffering from a lack in main services such as Electricity and Water, our “”"National Unity Government”"” is still studying the Budget of… I don’t know which financial year (!!!!!!!!).

I still read the same bullshit in the newspapers and on websites, and Thanks God I don’t watch News on Lebanese Channels, I also still hearing people talking politics with the same outdated ideas, and how they are still following the same leaders and willing to fight for them despite all the disappointment and betrayal they have surely felt in their performances and attitudes.

I’m reading Bloggers who are still posting and having the same replies and comments with or against, and still ashamed of the level of some of these replies which surely reflects the level of hate between us Lebanese.

Should I continue?? I think not, I think this must be enough to deliver the message and to call on all Lebanese, please please please, whatever are your orientations, your ideas, whatever are your opinions, there is a country we have to save, please act as true Lebanese.

Forget all about your religion, your party, your region, your thoughts, It’s not late to work for this country, at least don’t give our destructive politicians the right to finish what is left.

It’s not late, we are a very active and dynamic people, we can do miracles, we can bring back our country to its best. Nothing is done yet, Germany was paralized after the World War 2, and the “Mark” Currency was thrashed against the Dollars (each Dollar was worthy some 4 Billion Marks), but yet, they managed in less than 5 years later to be one of the strongest, if not the strongest economy in the world.

I didn’t post here all that time because I was very upset about how some people were reacting in their comments, I wanted to see us trying to have a small community that can agree on something despite all the differences, but I felt as i’ve failed, and maybe I had my part in it.

I have never changed my beliefs, my thoughts, mainly in politics, but maybe my behavior, maybe I’m starting to know how to better deal with people, knowing that right and wrong can stand to be flexible sometimes and in some defined matters.

Finally, let’s BLOG again by try to change ourselves first in order to change our way to post and comment, maybe we could give a good example for others to follow.

Now, and if there is still someone following this Blog after this long period of absence, all I can say is THANK YOU FOR ALL.

Former leaders of camps in Lebanon have put up resistance to their recent dismissal by Palestinian president Mahmoud Abbas. Damascus and Hezbollah could profit from the split.

That’s what a new report issued by “Intelligence Online” has said in its introduction, which indicates that more problems are to come for the Palestinian file in Lebanon.

It’s like Palestinians will never feel relieved until they destroy everything in Palestine and Lebanon at the same time.

And who’s there to benefit? of course Hizbullah and behind them Syria and Iran, they will all somehow benefit from any destruction or conflict or problem in Lebanon.

The report added: President Mahmoud Abbas fired Fatah’s military leader in Lebanon General Mounir al-Maqdah, who is suspected of having collaborated with the Syrian intelligence services, but has refused to step aside and hand over to new Fatah Secretary-General in Lebanon Fathi Abu al-Ardat the keys to his former headquarters in the camp of Aid al-Heloue.

It also mentioned that: Al-Maqdah’s resistance, and the rallying of his supporters in Ain al-Heloue, is worrisome to the Lebanese intelligence services, which fear that Syria or the Hezbollah will seek to use the divisions within Fatah to their own ends. Hamas could also use the split to undermine Fatah’s hold over the Palestinians camps. (Read the full report here)

Well, it seems as a never ending Palestinian story, in which Lebanon will always pay the price because of some insiders who are ready to do anything to maintain their weapons, but also and mostly because of some regional countries who are using them to benefit well from that situation.

Two opposite pictures in this post.

On one hand, the great speech of May Chidiac in the LF ceremony yesterday:

Part (2) of the Video

And on the other hand the condemened reactions of Sleiman, Berri, and Kahwaji:

Well, what I want to say is that May Chidiac was superb in her speech, and I totally agree on every word she said.

What I like to say also is shame on those who have withdrew their representatives or represenations (Childish!!!).

What I want to say is that May and all the Freedom activists in this country will not be affected by that, and will continue their path towards a full independence and sovereignty.

I want to ask: That much they can’t stand the truth or the other opinion in Lebanon? that much they are dominated by their Syrian belonging? So is it forbidden now to say anything against Syria? Why they are not defending some Lebanese figures who are always attacked by the Syrians? it is a shame.

What I want to say is shame on any official or politician who deal in that way with May Chidiac, with all what she represents and all what she went through.

What I want to say, is that shame on MP Antoine Zahra if he really said what is mentioned above, May Chidiac does not deserve that, as she spoke everyone’s mind, and of course the LF mind.

What I want to say finally to May Chidiac, never mind those reactions, never mind these people, you will be remembered and respected for ever, while they will be forgotten and cursed by History.

I think this is the right way to reply to that Lunetic Aoun who pictures himself as the only honest and straight politicians, while he is among the filthiest ones.

I like the way El-Khazen replies, and I believe he should open all the corruption files of Aoun, so that everybody realize the truth about this man and the people around him.

I also found some other details about what El-Khazen said in his Press Conference.

We are all aware that Lebanon is a country with lots of problems and issues to be settled. We all know that the country’s fate is in real danger. We are all conscient that we need to find soutions for these issues as soon as possible.

Maybe we disagree on priorities, on the real threats, maybe we disagree on the way we should solve these problems, but at least we are all willing to discuss them whether in the Parliament, inside the Cabinet, or through the National Dialogue Process.

But despite that, and amazingly, most of the Headlines were talking lately about other trivial things, mainly about Jumblatt’s visit to Syria, and the second visit of Hariri to Syria.

It’s like these visits will solve all our problems. In fact they may not be able to even solve the conecerned persons’ own issues.

Who cares if Jumblatt goes to Syria or when, and who is really interested in seeing Hariri there once again. We all know that these visits will not bring anything good for Lebanon, other than promises and friendly statements.

So let’s cut the crap and start by dealing with important things and take care of our priorities, the Lebanese people are asking for many things and Lebanon needs too much work and efforts.

I always wondered who is Wi2am Wahhab for real, and how the hell he turned out to be a Lebanese politician. Who apponted him as a Minister at time, and who convinced him that he is really one of the Lebanese leaders?

Of course the only logical answer for these questions is Syria. Who is Wahhab? he is a Syrian agent, how he became a Lebanese politician? Syria forced him. Who named him a Minister? of course Syria, and the Syrians put in his mind that he’s one of the Lebanese leaders.

I can understand that Syria is behind him, therefore I consider him as only a scumbag not more.

But what I can’t understand are Wahhab’s latest statements and their purposes. One should ask why Wahhab called on the President to resign at first, and why he resumed his firece attack on Sleiman in his last night interview with New TV.

Why in the same Interview he announced that the International Tribunal investigators are interrogating some HA members? who asked him to say that, while HA themselves refused to comment.

On top of all that, how can he challenges Samir Geagea in terms of popularity? regardless who is right or wrong, or who we love or hate, who is Wi2am Wahhab comparing to Samir Gegagea, and what is the “Tayyar Al Taw7id”, how many members it has?

Well I hope Geagea will accept his proposal concerning the survey, so we can see Wahhab resigning from politics, unless he’s counting on HA supporters to vote for him.
