No Resurrection yet??? Let’s Start from here

In my last post here, nearly two months ago, exactly 72 Days have passed without any sence of a probable answer to the question I’ve raised.

When will be our Resurrection? a question meant Lebanon Resurrection, the Lebanese people Resurrection, the Resurrection of all parties, politicians, Officials, Academics, etc… even the ordinary people, the youths, those who are following the so called leaders, and YET, I DIDN’T SEE ANY RESURRECTION in their behaviours, in their performance, in their relations, or in their FAITH.

On the contrary, the way I see it, things are getting worse for us Lebanese, whether living inside the country or abroad. I can honestly say that nothing good happened since the elections were held on 7 June 2009, more than a year ago, because we are still fighting and looking for the others’ mistakes, we are still waiting for a development and reform path to this country in terms of economy, society, politics, culture, education, finance, and others.

We are still living in an unstable country, under a very high cost of living against a minimum wage rate, we still have the highest prices of Real Estate, we’re still suffering from a lack in main services such as Electricity and Water, our “”"National Unity Government”"” is still studying the Budget of… I don’t know which financial year (!!!!!!!!).

I still read the same bullshit in the newspapers and on websites, and Thanks God I don’t watch News on Lebanese Channels, I also still hearing people talking politics with the same outdated ideas, and how they are still following the same leaders and willing to fight for them despite all the disappointment and betrayal they have surely felt in their performances and attitudes.

I’m reading Bloggers who are still posting and having the same replies and comments with or against, and still ashamed of the level of some of these replies which surely reflects the level of hate between us Lebanese.

Should I continue?? I think not, I think this must be enough to deliver the message and to call on all Lebanese, please please please, whatever are your orientations, your ideas, whatever are your opinions, there is a country we have to save, please act as true Lebanese.

Forget all about your religion, your party, your region, your thoughts, It’s not late to work for this country, at least don’t give our destructive politicians the right to finish what is left.

It’s not late, we are a very active and dynamic people, we can do miracles, we can bring back our country to its best. Nothing is done yet, Germany was paralized after the World War 2, and the “Mark” Currency was thrashed against the Dollars (each Dollar was worthy some 4 Billion Marks), but yet, they managed in less than 5 years later to be one of the strongest, if not the strongest economy in the world.

I didn’t post here all that time because I was very upset about how some people were reacting in their comments, I wanted to see us trying to have a small community that can agree on something despite all the differences, but I felt as i’ve failed, and maybe I had my part in it.

I have never changed my beliefs, my thoughts, mainly in politics, but maybe my behavior, maybe I’m starting to know how to better deal with people, knowing that right and wrong can stand to be flexible sometimes and in some defined matters.

Finally, let’s BLOG again by try to change ourselves first in order to change our way to post and comment, maybe we could give a good example for others to follow.

Now, and if there is still someone following this Blog after this long period of absence, all I can say is THANK YOU FOR ALL.

  1. Good to have u back.
I thought you have surrendered to the filthy situation of our politics in lebanon.
what u said here represents a good thing but does anyone listen? i don’t think so. i think the lebanese got used to fighting in every way they can, either by words or by weapons and thats why we always find people reacting to the offending posts better than good writings like this one here.
in the end, i will join you in calling all to have a serious thought about where are we going if we continue in this path and ask them to unite one agian and hopefully they do.

  2. Sorry for being late. I didn’t know u’re still alive ya man. Please don’t loose faith caus if we all loose it no one will stay in the country.
the cedar revolution is till alive in our heart and we have our leader Hkim to save it.
